Salary Range:

$78,773.63 – $122,099.12 The NurseEducator may provide direct patient care, patient triage (in-personand telephonic), assessment, planning, directing and evaluating ofa patient’s specific care plan and clinic visit. The Nurse Educatorcollaborates with other members of the OB/GYN Departmental CareTeam to implement, track and develop staff training anddevelopment. The Nurse Educator independently implements plannededucational activities in accordance with departmental prioritiesand targeted for orientation, in-service, governing bodyrequirements and continuing education. The Nurse Educator acts as aclinical lead to onsite nursing staff in absence of an onsite NurseSupervisor or Nurse Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or currently enrolled in BSNprogram)

Licensure, Certification & Registration:

LicensedRegistered Professional Nurse Maintains current BLS certificationand seeks BLS Instructor Certification within one-year of hire.

Experience:

Demonstrated clinical competency in a OBGYN nursing.

Previous experience in educational program development and teachingpreferred.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

While performing theduties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand,walk, use hands to probe, handle, or feel objects, tools, orcontrols, reach with hands and arms, and speak and hear. Theemployee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, orcrouch. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 50pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includeclose vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception,and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties ofthis job, the employee may be subject to infectious materials andchemicals (see unit specific MSDS information). The noise level inthe work environment is usually moderate and should be at a levelthat enhances the patient experience. This job requires as anessential function that most of the time the employee be physicallyon-site as the work cannot be done from a remote location.
