Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fillthe position of Registered Nurse Charge for our ICU Department.

This job is permanent, PRN.

Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problemsidentified and involves the patient according to his or hercapabilities and desires.
  • Supervises and mentors nursing and support staff during assignedshift.
  • Assists in Determining staffing levels and assignments based onstaff availability, staff abilities, census, patient acuity andwork/patient flow.
  • Provides direct patient care as needed.
  • Floats between staff to assist with problem-solving.
  • Takes patient assignments to meet staffing needs.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies anyissues that affect desired patient outcomes.
  • Responds to complaints about patient care and related services,and manages through established channels.
  • Performs role-specific duties as assigned, including enteringorders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinatingtransfers.
  • Ensures staff has necessary equipment and supplies to providesafe, quality patient care.
Qualifications:

Minimum Education Associate’s degree in

Nursing:
  • Preferred X Required Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree: X Preferred
  • Required Required Licenses [ Tennessee, United States ] Registered Nurse RN License in the State of TN or another compact state
Required Skills Certifications:

The below certifications will be required at the time of hire: X Basic Life Support (BLS) The below certifications will be required within 6 months of hireor when transferring into a new department with thesecertifications:
