START ASAP SHIFT
DAYS 0800-2030 – except for the weekday call day whichwould be 0930-2200 The weekend call shifts are 0730-0730 (24 hrs) The PACU Registered Nurse holds shift accountability forproviding care to Post Anesthesia Care patients working withSurgeons, Anesthesiologists, Surgical staff, and other personnel byutilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state NursePractice Act, AORN, and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills,scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation andplanning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competenciesthrough continuing education; delegates patient care prioritiescommensurate with the education and experience of the staffavailable; provides direction and supervision of assigned personneldelivering patient care. Job Requirements BLS (AHA/ARC ONLY) ACLS (AHA/ARC ONLY) PALS (AHA/ARC ONLY) Prefer 2 yrs. experience on a Med Surg floor.
