Job Summary and Qualifications The Registered Nurseperforms direct patient care within the scope of the RegisteredNurse Practice Act. Utilizes therapeutic communication in dailypractice. Maintains a safe therapeutic environment. Identifiesnursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of thepatient. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care whileutilizing an interdisciplinary approach. Anticipates in performanceimprovement activities. Provides care and coordinates participationthat fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and visionstatement. When acting in charge nurse role, registered nurses areresponsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery ofquality patient care in a therapeutic environment. Make staffassignments based on patient need, acuity and the skill of thestaff. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff.

Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-upwith physician, staff or patient issues. What you will do in thisrole: You will evaluate the patient throughout their radiationtreatment journey and be responsible for education on potentialside effects and management of their care. You will implement andmonitor patient care plans. You will schedule diagnostic and/ orradiation treatment planning exams. You will monitor, record, andcommunicate patient condition as appropriate. You will serve as aprimary coordinator of the multidisciplinary team to ensurewell-coordinated patient care. You will implement and documentphysician and nursing orders. You will assess and coordinatepatient’s discharge planning needs with members of themultidisciplinary team.

What qualifications you will need:

CurrentBLS upon hire, ACLS preferred TN RN Licensure, or compact statelicensure. At least 1 year of RN experience. Critical careexperience preferred Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or BMTCertified Nurse preferred TriStar Centennial Medical Center is a740 bed comprehensive facility. We offer medical and surgicalprograms. These include behavioral health and 24-hour emergency.

These also include heart and vascular and imaging. These alsoinclude neurosciences, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics,rehabilitation, sleep disorder, and women’s services.
