Job Description Summary Practices autonomously and incollaboration with other health care professionals to treat andmanage patient’s health problems and serve in various settings asresearchers, consultants, and patient advocates for individuals,families, groups, and communities. Performs comprehensiveassessments, diagnoses, and manages illness and disease. Performsother duties as assigned. Responsibilities

• Develops a plan ofcare within scope of practice of the nurse practitioner utilizingwritten protocols to ensure quality patient care.
• Usesprescriptive authority, procedures, referrals, treatments, andtheories in accordance with state/federal laws and regulations.
• Enhances quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Interactswith and contributes to the professional development of peers andcolleagues.
• Provides clinical leadership.
• Supports life longlearning.
• Completes assigned goals.

Requirements, Preferences andExperience Education Minimum :

Either a Masters or Doctoral levelas a nurse practitioner.

Experience Minimum :

1 year clinicalexperience functioning in the nurse practitioner role in a primarycare setting
