Job Summary and Qualifications The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC)ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care andcoordination of all functions in the unit/department during thedesignated shift. In collaboration with other members of themanagement team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursingcare in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves asa resource person for staff, and models a commitment to theorganization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleledpatient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overalldepartmental performance. What you will do in this role:
- Assistswith admission and discharge processes to ensure efficientthroughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
- Participatesin the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care servicesprovided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of themanagement team.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts andother managers to create an environment of teamwork that supportsimproved outcomes and service.
- Supports a patient-firstphilosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
- Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement byoperationalizing current nursing strategies, including employeerounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Providesrecommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and trainingnew staff. Recommends and implements courses of action, includingtraining and development, conflict resolution, personnel policycompliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/ordisciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization
- Assists with staff scheduling. Manages all practical aspects ofstaff labor in accordance with patient care needs and establishedproductivity guidelines.
- Supports proper inventory control andassists with managing supplies and equipment.

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Effective6/24/2021 (NC Division): Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollin a BSN or advanced degree program and obtain a BSN within 5 yearsof hire date into RN position. Grandfathering will be acceptedbetween departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions, orextensions, may be approved by the facility CNO and reported out tothe CNO Council members. Each facility will ensure tracking ofexemptions should this information be needed. RNs with 10 years ormore of experience are exempt.

Required License:
Currentlylicensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) ofpractice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance withlaw and regulation. Must have and maintain current licensure asregistered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC(Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license may apply, licenseeshould confirm with NCBON.
