Job Description:

Infection Preventionist Nurse Are you a nurse who is passionateabout infection control and prevention? The Infection preventionnurse is responsible for designing systems and approving actions toprevent or control infections, based on surveillance reports ofinfections and infection potential among residents and staff.

Responsibilities:

As an infection prevention nurse, you will:

• Monitor healthcare-associated infections.
• Assess infectionprevention problems and makes recommendations for correctiveaction.
• Initiate, review, and revise infection preventionpolicies and procedures.
• Conduct outbreak investigation andinitiates control measures. And report communicable diseases to thestate as required by law.
• Provides educational offerings fororientation and ongoing inservices.
• Consults with departmentheads and physicians as needed to improve care.
• Initiatefollow-up on employee/resident exposures to communicable diseases.

Qualifications:

• RN or LPN in the state
• Current CPRcertification.
