Unlock your potential at Mission Hospital! Job Summary andQualifications The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures anddelivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination ofall functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.

In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNCdirects, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance withestablished policies/procedures, serves as a resource person forstaff, and models a commitment to the organization’svision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experienceand clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmentalperformance. What you will do in this role:

• Assists withadmission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughputand high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in theongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services providedin the unit, in collaboration with other members of the managementteam.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managersto create an environment of teamwork that supports improvedoutcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy andengages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports the effortsof the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing currentnursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, andother initiatives.
• Provides recommendations related tointerviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommends andimplements courses of action, including training and development,conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion ofperformance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure acompetitively better organization.
• Assists with staff scheduling.

Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance withpatient care needs and established productivity guidelines.

• Supports proper inventory control and assists with managingsupplies and equipment.

What qualifications you will need:

• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 1 year ofemployment start date
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90days of employment start date
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program mustbe obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• NonviolentCrisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employmentstart date
• STABLE must be obtained within 90 days of employmentstart date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1year of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• AdvancedCardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor, or Bachelors Degree, or WorkExperience in lieu of Degree must be obtained within 90 days ofemployment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLSInstructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt, or PALS Instructor must be obtainedwithin 90 days of employment start date Mission Hospital is locatedin Asheville, North Carolina.
