We’re currently seeking a qualified full time Nurse (LPN or RN) to join this group of caring professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience in a patient-oriented Pediatric medical office. With superior communication skills, the Nurse will further our tradition of excellent patient-centered healthcare and be driven in making the patient experience as comfortable, efficient, and rewarding as possible. Role Objectives Cultivate a safe, secure, and healthy environment for patients and colleagues, and enhance the quality of service and care providedUnderstand the provider-to-patient flow to assist physicians and nurses in maintaining an efficient, productive office Develop and maintain relationships of confidence and trust with patients and families Help answer patient questions and address concerns before, during, and after examination Update and maintain electronic patient medical records accurately and securely Responsibilities Understand and follow policies, procedures and protocols Punctual arrival at office to prepare for the day’s work Maintain required license, certification and training Ability to provide service excellence, kindness and compassion to all patients & team members Maintain a clean, sanitary office and prepare examination rooms prior to each appointment Understand what is needed for each patient well visit Measure vital signs, obtain medical history, prepare patient for examination and room patients Prepare for and administer immunizations Perform in office lab tests and assist with patient treatments Perform timely patient record updates in the EHR Keep medical supplies well stocked and reorder supplies as needed Contribute to process improvements by taking an active role in patient experiences Provide clinical direction to Medical Assistants Provide nurse triage/patient follow-up phone calls and answer questions as part of telephone encounters using Barton Schmitt’s ClearTriage software Work with providers to determine need for in office visit as part of telephone encounters Required skills and Qualifications Associate’s degree in Nursing (or equivalent) License Practical Nurse certfication One or more years of experience as a nurse in a primary care setting Experience with giving shots and/or immunizations Excellent communication and organizational skills Medium proficiency computer skills Basic applied math skills including calculations and conversions Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues High levels of professionalism and dedication to patient-centered care Preferred Skills and Qualifications Bachelor degree in Nursing (BSN) Registered Nurse certification Experience in working in a Pediatric office Fluency in Spanish If you are passionate about kids and adolescents, providing excellent clinical care, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity as a Pediatric Nurse at Brentwood Pediatric Care!
