  • PositionSummary:

    The RN Educator assists with ensuring the Facility’sstrategic goals and objectives are met with regard to meetingoverall staff education and compliance.

  • This position alsoprovides direct resident care.
  • 1.

Provides educational servicesto the Facility. 2. Implement an educational curriculum that correlates with theneeds, as identified of the Administrator, DON, ADON, andregulatory agencies. 3. Solicits and evaluates new educational materials, aides andeducational resources as needed and requested 4. Ensures new clinical employees receive necessary informationwith regard to organizational policies, procedures andprotocols. 5. Ensures training documentation is maintained so that status,progress, and participation is easily monitored. 6. Assists with competency and competency assessment for clinicalstaff: a. During new employee orientation b. Validate/document competencies on-going c. Educational activities to address any competency issues. 7. Maintain skill/competence in order to provide direct patientcare to residents, including but not limited to assessingresidents’ condition, assisting with care plans and documentation,and administering medications and treatment therapies. 8. Assist with Admissions, Transfers and Discharges, and helpcoordinate facility health care services such as dental, mentalhealth, and podiatry. 9. Collaborate with physicians and other members of the health careteam including but not limited to daily cluster calls, facilitatingend-of-shift reporting, etc. 10. Evaluate/research resident care issues to effectively driveoutcomes and establish policies/procedures. Reports to ClinicalEducation Supervisor•
