Job Summary:

Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing processin accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Full-time;36 hours/week

Job Duties:

Performs plan of care intervention, including medicationadministration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as wellas other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition asappropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living,including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, andambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patientcare, including patient transfer, discharge, referral andspiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and providespatient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition,and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being ofthe patient. Handle with Care participation annually or CPI participation every2 years.

Job Requirements:

Minimum EducationAssociate Degree, Bachelor Degree or RN Diplomarequired. Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgmentand the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able towork in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

American Heart Association or American Red CrossCertifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire or mustbe obtained within 90 days of employment, Advanced CardiovascularLife Support (ACLS) required within 12 months of employment.

License:

Current TN or Multi-State RN licensure Minimum Work ExperienceSix months to one year experience withpsychiatric/behavioral patients
