The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, particularly in the administration of intravenous therapies. This position requires a strong understanding of nursing principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Administer intravenous medications and therapies as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patient responses to infusion therapies and report any adverse reactions. Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health status, including vital signs and symptoms. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medication administration, and self-care techniques. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in compliance with healthcare regulations. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards during all procedures. Participate in discharge planning and provide follow-up care instructions to patients. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to infusion therapy. Proficient in acute pain management techniques for effective patient care. Experience in infant care, ensuring specialized attention for pediatric patients. Familiarity with dementia care practices to support cognitive health in elderly patients. Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures efficiently and safely. Experience working with children in a healthcare setting is preferred. Background in hospital environments, understanding the dynamics of patient care delivery. Knowledge of infection control practices to minimize risks during treatment. Competence in discharge planning processes to facilitate smooth transitions from hospital to home or other care settings. Understanding of occupational health principles related to nursing practice.
