Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable, friendly, and organized Patient Access Representative / Medical Receptionist to join our front office team. This position is key to ensuring our patients feel welcomed and supported from the moment they walk through the door. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
Reception & Patient Interaction Greet and check in patients upon arrival Collect co-pays and outstanding balances Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information Interact professionally with patients, visitors, and pharmaceutical representatives Phone & Messaging Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously Respond to voicemails and direct messages to the appropriate team members Review and manage messages/documents within the eClinicalWorks (eCW) system Scheduling & Documentation Schedule patient appointments efficiently Scan documents into patient charts Fax signed documents such as Home Health orders End-of-Day Responsibilities Tidy and clean the lobby area Lock doors and turn off lights, TV, and heater Check and adjust thermostat as needed Restock lobby bathroom and front desk forms Print end-of-day summaries and payment reports Miscellaneous Duties Take stock of lobby supplies and maintain an accurate “order list”
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with computers and familiarity with EHR systems (eClinicalWorks experience is a plus) Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Bilingual preferred, but not required
