PRN Registrar Russellville Hospital 15155 U.S. Highway 43, Russellville, AL 35653 Company Overview Russellville Hospital is a non-profit acute care facility with 49 beds, dedicated to serving northwest Alabama. Nestled in Franklin County in northwest Alabama, the city of Russellville boasts tree-lined streets, charming homes, and a welcoming small-town atmosphere Position Summary Responsible for collecting patient information, managing patient accounts, coordinating with medical staff, and ensuring that all relevant data is collected. Registrars should have exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Responsibilities Register patients upon arrival, ensuring accurate collection of personal and insurance information. Review and verify documentation to ensure compliance with hospital policies. Assist patients with completing necessary forms and answering any questions they may have. Maintain organized patient records and update information as needed in the electronic health record system. Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate efficient patient flow and communication. Handle clerical duties such as scheduling appointments and managing phone inquiries. Requirements Proven experience in a clerical or administrative role within a medical or hospital setting. Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation review skills. Familiarity with medical terminology and coding systems like ICD-9 is preferred. Proficient in using electronic health record systems, preferably Meditech. Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff. Education High School diploma or equivalent preferred, plus some previous experience preferred
