Birmingham, AL Responsibilities:
Manages incoming referrals from healthcare providers. Coordinates appointments for patients. Verifies insurance coverage and obtains authorization for referrals as required. Communicates with patients regarding referral appointments and instructions. Maintains accurate records of referral requests and approvals. Conducts follow-up on pending referrals and ensures timely processing. Collaborates with medical staff to expedite urgent referrals when necessary. Provides assistance and support to patients navigating the referral process. Inputs referral information into electronic health record systems accurately. Communicates with insurance companies or third-party payers to resolve referral-related issues. Assists with administrative tasks as needed in the referrals department.
Requirements:
