We’re currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Intake Coordinator to join our team and support the essential first step in connecting patients to the care they need. About the Role As our Intake Coordinator, you’ll manage the intake process for patients referred from long-term care and outpatient facilities. You’ll verify insurance, enter data into our EMR system, coordinate authorizations, and communicate with both internal teams and external partners to ensure a smooth transition for each patient. Key Responsibilities Accurately enter patient demographics and insurance details into the EMR system Verify insurance benefits, secure prior authorizations, and confirm eligibility Communicate with referral sources, insurance companies, and providers Coordinate intake appointments and track referral progress Ensure full HIPAA and regulatory compliance throughout the intake process Provide compassionate support to patients and families Utilize Microsoft Excel and Teams to manage information and internal communication Collaborate with the clinical team and suggest process improvements Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive health information with discretion Perform other administrative duties as assigned What We’re Looking For 2+ years of experience in insurance verification or intake for long-term care, assisted living, nursing homes, or outpatient behavioral health Familiarity with verifying coverage for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Teams Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and a passion for healthcare Why Join Remedy?
