Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Patient Check-in:
Greet patients, verify insurance, and ensure web check-in procedures are completed.
Phone & Appointment Management:
Answer calls, provide info, and refer questions as needed.
Patient Registration:
Collect and update patient details (demographics, medical history, insurance).
Insurance Verification:
Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, and resolve discrepancies.
Billing & Payments:
Process payments, manage balances, and provide payment plans.
Medical Records Management:
Maintain, file, and retrieve patient records while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Office Administration:
Maintain reception area, manage supplies, and perform clerical duties.
Cash Collection & Financial Reporting:
Reconcile payments, prepare balance sheets, and make deposits.
Clinic Operations:
Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Follow-Up Coordination:
Assist with scheduling follow-up appointments and medical documentation requests.
Other Duties:
Perform additional tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Attendance:
Regular attendance to support clinic efficiency.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or certification in Office/Medical Administration preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical office setting required.
- Strong understanding of health insurance processes is highly desirable.
