Patient Services Representative 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 7955 Spyglass Hill Road, Melbourne, FL 32940 Medical Receptionist Patient Services Seeking a detail oriented team player with an outgoing personality to join our front office team. Patient Services Representative serves as the first point of contact for new patients is responsible for obtaining accurate information and scheduling the patient as well as responding to and scheduling incoming physician referrals. Patient Services Responsibilities and Duties Provide excellent customer service with a smile Respond to customer inquiries with focus on converting callers to scheduled appointments Schedule new patient appointments Provide insurance verification Make additional outbound calls when required Liaise with internal departments to solve customer queries (i.e. billing for coverage questions) Maintain a working knowledge of our services Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management Answer calls and direct calls to appropriate staff members Comply with current HIPAA and OSHA guidelines to ensure the safety and privacy of the patients and other employees Maintain open communication with manager on any issues or concerns Promote a team environment that represents the best of Millennium Medical Management Cross-train at the Front Desk and provide back-up support when necessary Special projects as assigned by Supervisor Patient Services/Front Desk Experience 1-2 years Receptionist or call center experience required Proficient in Microsoft office: Excel, Word, etc. required Medical office experience preferred Patient Services Qualifications and Skills Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients and other employees of the organization Basic computer skills are required, such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Must be able to use a fax machine, copier, calculator, and manage a multi-line telephone system. Excellent customer service skills High school degree or equivalent (GED) Medical terminology is preferred Maintain a professional appearance and have good communication skills in dealing with the patients If you have these qualification please forward your resume for review.
