- 4:00 pm Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone in a courteous and professional manner.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments. Collect and post copayments, account balances, and deductibles to patient accounts. Prepare and print superbills for the following day; verify insurance coverage in advance. Professionally support doctors, staff, visitors, and patients to ensure smooth operations. Answer all incoming calls promptly and courteously, providing accurate information or redirecting as necessary. Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient, staff, and physician information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Accurately document patient visits in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Scan photo IDs and medical insurance cards into the EMR system (e.g., eClinicalWorks). Verify patients’ medical insurance coverage and benefits. Scan and upload documents into ECW (eClinicalWorks) as needed. Update and maintain accurate patient information in the system. Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming.
