The Insurance Verification Coordinator is a valuable member of the care team as they ensure that the patient is informed and secure in knowing their financial obligations in advance of their visit.

Other job responsibilities include:

Verify insurance information for new patients and referrals. Update insurance information for existing patients. Call to obtain pre-authorization for recommended services and procedures. Explain to patients their financial responsibilities. Inform relevant clinical staff about denials. Answer questions related to billing and insurance. Make appropriate documentation in the patient account. Monitor approved visit number. Calculating pre-collect amounts for the ASC. Obtain authorization renewals, as necessary. eClinicalWorks experience (preferred).

20 hours per week We prefer at least two years of experience but are willing to train newer teammates with the right focus on patient care, service, and teamwork.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office (required) Prior insurance verification and eligibility experience (required) Proficient in using Availity and commercial payor verification sites Familiarity with CPT codes and medical terminology (preferred) Understanding of HIPAA regulations eClinicalWorks experience (preferred) Bilingual (English/Spanish) required About the

Education and Experience:
