Surgical Coordinator Position Available In Broward, Florida

Surgical Coordinator SOC Plantation, FL 33317 We are a surgical medical practice looking for a friendly, motivated and experienced Surgical Coordinator to join our team. This position will be Full-Time in Plantation. Responsibilities include : Provides administrative clerical support for the day-to-day operations of the department. Contributes to optimizing customer satisfaction and the continuity and effective operation of the department. Coordinates daily patient procedures scheduling. Updates existing patient system information to ensure accuracy of demographic and insurance data. Complete appropriate insurance authorizations including writing predetermination and appeal letters to various insurance Companies as needed. Contact patients to discuss and review benefits and financial responsibility. Maintains proactive and effective communication with all members of the departmental team; communicates any concerns or issues regarding patient scheduling. Ensures departmental files, policy and procedure manuals, protocols, and reports for various hospital, state, and federal organizations are followed up. Qualifications Medical terminology knowledge required. Good written and verbal communication skills necessary. Able to handle multiple responsibilities and prioritize them well
