Pensacola, FL Job Description The Registration Representative performs a variety of data entry and general registration functions for outpatient departments in the facility. It is the responsibility of the registration representative to accurately collect patient demographic and insurance data to ensure appropriate reimbursement and claim filing. The registrar will utilize technology to accurately quote and collect patient liabilities that have been identified by the insurance company. This position is responsible to follow all registration and admitting policies and procedures. This position a variety of admitting/administrative tasks to arrange the admission of patients of all ages to the Hospital. This role acts as a resource in providing all customers with the highest level of service. This role enhances the hospital experience for patients, families and visitors by providing appropriate hospitality and concierge services. Responsibilities Acts as the initial greeter for all patients/visitors entering the facility.
Completes all registrations in a professional, accurate and customer-oriented timely manner.
Obtains information from patient health insurance or managed care identification card
Responsible for distributing to patients or their representative any required handouts.
Maintains forms in all printers at all times, which may require lifting or carrying cases of forms. Must have knowledge of all software and hardware computerized equipment. Qualifications Minimum Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Minimum Work Experience 2 years relevant revenue cycle experience, Less job experience is required with completed advanced education (Associates, Bachelors, or Masters’ degree) Required Licenses and Certifications Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) Upon Hire Required
