Performs administrative duties to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the home health agency.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Other Duties May Be Assigned) Answer telephones in a courteous manner and assist caller/direct to appropriate person Call inpatient facilities daily to follow-up with case managers on agency patients Verify new patient eligibility (i.e. MECA) Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorization when needed Contact patient/caregiver and introduce company Enter patient’s demographics into agency’s EMR Assist in following-up with physician’s offices/marketers regarding outstanding orders Scanning documents in patient’s medical record Contact staff regarding assignments and enter patient’s scheduled visits into the Agency’s computer system and confirm the receipt of external visits

Qualifications:

High School Diploma, FL Nursing license preferred Education and/or

Experience:

Working knowledge of office practices and procedures. Strong computer/data entry and software skills. Some medical terminology or Health care industry experience preferred.
