Position Summary:

This position will include performance of all front desk functions including, registration, eligibility verification’s; “greeting” all patients/customers in a most friendly and courteous manner Qualifications and Experience
Must be COVID vaccinated.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent Least 1 year of recent work experience at medical front office or call center.
Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Ability to function independently.

Knowledge Skills and Ability Effective verbal and written communications skills. Knowledge in basic office procedures. Comfortable working with computers and databases. Ability to deal with the public in a tactful, courteous and effective manner. Ability to interview well and listen effectively. Ability to accurately record and properly evaluate data related to applicant’s employment or financial status. Ability to work as a team member. Ability to work without supervision.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities Interview applicants to determine eligibility based on established criteria. Assign eligibility category and sliding fee category as a basis for the patient’s reimbursement for program services. Coordinate with the clinical staff to ensure steady patient flow and reasonable patient waiting times. Assist patients by providing information, scheduling appointments, and providing referrals. Answer incoming telephone calls and take messages. Maintain patient information confidentiality according to HIPPA regulations. Serve as EMR and PM user. Make sure that the name of the clients are gathered from each intake specialist and given to the Office Manager daily to accurately account for visits. Assess walk-in patients based on need/urgency. Ensure that No-shows, cancelations, and other appointments have been accurately processed and documented. Make sure the clinic schedules are accurate. Perform other duties as requested.
