This position involves managing front desk operations, providing exceptional customer service, and utilizing medical and dental terminology to assist patients effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical or dental office setting and possess strong administrative skills. Duties Greet patients upon arrival and manage check-in procedures to ensure a welcoming environment. Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, ensuring accuracy in the system. Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about services and assisting with appointment scheduling. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity. Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for managing patient accounts and scheduling needs. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining cleanliness of the front desk area. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth transitions between administrative and clinical processes. Skills Proven experience in front desk operations within a medical or dental office setting. Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction. Familiarity with dental terminology and ICD-9 coding is highly desirable. Proficient in using administrative software, particularly Dentrix or similar systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff. Attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry and record management. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of patient care and operational efficiency within our healthcare facility.
