Patient Representative/ Front Desk Sunbright Health Medical Centers Homestead, FL 33032 Summary This role provides customer service to all patients and visitors entering the medical center. Must have prior Medical Center experience Duties and Responsibilities 1. Excellent Customer service, always representing exceptional attitude and work ethic. 2. Greets visitors, ascertains purpose of visit, and directs them to appropriate staff. 3. Checks in and out patients in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. 4. Records demographics in Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. 5. Verifies patients’ insurance information, addresses and telephone numbers to ensure proper billing and accuracy. 6. Confirms patients’ appointments. 7. Collects co-payments from patients. 8. Gracefully answering phone calls and resolving patient requests. 9. Records information accurately. 11. Schedules follow-up physician appointments to meet the daily provider quota. 12. Assists other staff members when needed. 13. Ensures effective patient flow to reduce patient wait time. 14. Ensure that all
HIPAA/ OSHA
standards are in compliance. 15. Performs other duties as assigned.
