Job Description
We have an immediate opening in our Admissions Department Admissions Coordinator. Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center has an opportunity in our detox/residential treatment center located in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to impact other human beings in such an AMAZING way that it changes their lives forever. We have a current position open for a full-time Admissions Coordinator. The position of the Admission Coordinator is an integral component of our multidisciplinary treatment team for substance abuse treatment. This position requires a thorough understanding of the facility’s treatment program, philosophy, and a strong working knowledge of various aspects of chemical dependency. This individual must have an ability to coordinate the facility’s inquiry and admission process and work with prospective clients and families to promote admission into the facility. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong knowledge of substance abuse treatment and understand insurance benefits. Essential functions include but are not limited to: Ensuring inquiry calls with potential clients and their families are met with a tone of respect, compassion, and a sense of urgency. Document of all intake and contact calls on inquiry sheet and logs according to facility standard. Scheduling and providing detailed assessments on prospective clients which assures the client is an appropriate admission to the facility. Notifies clients and their families of their insurance benefits and financial responsibility. Works with insurance companies to verify benefits, obtain initial approval for admissions. Conducts facility tours to prospective clients, family members, and visitors. Communicates effectively verbally and in writing with administration, clinical, nursing, business staff about impending admissions by distributing appropriate paperwork as assigned. Assists in reporting of the daily and monthly census, inquiry report, client satisfaction survey summaries, alumni follow-up reports as requested. Maintains a “call back” file and coordinates this process. Works closely with referral sources by coordinating admissions and placing appropriate referral agreements in clients’ charts. Participates in referral development activities. Meets facility and regulatory training requirements by attending all mandatory staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:
Education
- High School degree or GED equivalent required Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in the substance abuse treatment field preferred Licenses
- Current Driver’s License with a good driving record Certifications
