Position Purpose:

This is a Tumor Registrar position which is a PRN; This is a REMOTE position and MUST meet the minimum requirements.

What you will do:

Ensure proper reporting to all organizations that the cancer data is submitted for tracking purposes. Retrieves data from medical records for research projects and prepares qualitative and quantitative analysis. Collaborates with physician and ancillary department personnel to ensure appropriate documentation, which supports the diagnosis and procedures.

Special Qualifications:

A.

Education:

Certification as Tumor Registrar (CTR) required. Associates degree preferred. High school graduate with coursework in Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology. B.

Experience:

Experience in NQMBC certifications preferred. Experience in NAPBC Certifications preferred. C.

Special Qualifications:

Interpersonal skills to communicate and interact effectively with Medical Staff and other health care personnel when compiling data for coding and record completion.
