The successful candidate:

This position is an onsite FT Float M-F 7:30am-4:00pm EST Performs all tasks related to the admission/discharge/transfer process for all patient types. Performs accurate collection of patient demographic and insurance information, to be verified upon each patient registration. Performs check-in, check-out process for all registration appointments. Obtains all required patient registration forms, patient identification cards, and insurance cards. Prepares for upcoming registration appointments. Prepares for each day’s appointments by reviewing schedule, pre-printing necessary documents and/or wristband. Review insurance benefits and accounts for up-front collection opportunities and balances due. Performs check-in and check-out functions for daily Registration appointments Accepts patient payments, issues receipts and handles petty cash as necessary Ensures patient charts contain complete and accurate demographic and insurance information Ensures patient picture is obtained and loaded into hospital EHR Assists with department emails and answers registration hotline

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • REQUIRED Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent Skills Excellent customer service skills Familiarity with computers, EHR, Microsoft Office products
