Job Description
The Patient Services Representative is responsible scheduling and/or checking patients into the department and for the representation of patients and families in non-medical matters pertaining to their needs, comfort and personal satisfaction. The qualified candidate will possess the following: A. Education 1. High school graduate or equivalent B. Experience 1. Medical terminology, typing and computer skills 2. Six months experience in a related field C. Interpersonal requirements 1. Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills, has a commitment to customer service. 2. Communicates effectively with all applicable customers and age groups. 3. Possesses excellent interpersonal skills. 4. Develops and maintains professional working relationships with physicians, technical staff, phlebotomists, nursing and ancillary departments. 5. Handles multiple tasks effectively. 6. Remains detail-oriented in stressful situations. Atrium Health Floyd is a system of health care providers serving Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama since 1942.
