Registration & Scheduling Georgia Carolina Orthopedics 811 13th St Ste 20, Augusta, GA 30901 Georgia Carolina Orthopedics is the premier orthopedic practice in Augusta, Georgia. Our highly specialized physicians are experienced in the latest diagnostic techniques and treatment options. Our physician-owned practice is committed to providing the highest level of orthopedic care available. We are currently seeking an experienced Registration & Scheduling team member.
Duties:
Greeting patients in a friendly manner. Obtaining all information necessary for completion/update of patient record. Accurate data entry of patient demographics and insurance information. Verifying current insurance coverage. Scheduling appointments. Confirming appointments. Collecting co-pays and patient balances. Preparing patient paperwork for the following day. Balancing daily work. Scanning patient paperwork into the EMR system. Compliance with privacy and security regulations (HIPAA) Compliance with safety regulations (OSHA) Assisting with other duties as needed.
Education and experience required:
3+ years patient registration experience. High School Diploma or GED required. Proficient knowledge/ability with all Microsoft Office Applications. HIPAA compliant. Must have outstanding organization skills with the ability to multi-task. Ability to work well with physicians and co-workers. Strong oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology. Understanding of health insurance. Experience in Athena EMR is a plus. We offer Medical/Dental/Vision/Life/401(k), paid vacation and holidays.
