Admissions Coordinator Harvest Manor Healthcare and Rehabilitation 839 North Range Avenue, Denham Springs, LA 70726 Long-term care facility seeks to hire a qualified applicant to join our team as our Admission Coordinator. Nursing Facility Administrator Duties and Responsibilities :
Maintain a desired census and waiting list, communicate with the community, conduct marketing programs, travel, speak before groups, solve family problems, complete and maintain admission records and documents, and work with referral agencies, organizations, and institutions. The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education:
At least a high school diploma, two years or more of college preferred.
Continuing Education:
Attend in-service education within the facility.
Job Knowledge:
Community resources and needs; ability to handle inquiries and relate to prospective residents; awareness of facility services and cost structure; knowledge of related services available throughout the facility; ability to handle confidential information and admission records; possess judgment capabilities, ability to drive, and conduct tours of the facility.
Professional Memberships:
Preferred and encourage to participate in community civic organizations and associations.
Other:
Work well with people including staff, residents, families, and community; communicate the services of the facility to prospective residents and to the community, speak before large and small groups; be personable and friendly; work independently.
Functions:
§ Interview applicants for admission and acquire necessary information and documentation; complete required forms. § Handle financial arrangements related to admission § Conduct tours of the facility and grounds for potential residents, families, community, and representatives from placement agencies and organizations. § Act as a liaison with discharge planners. § Attend and participate in in-service educational programs particularly those that relate to the psychosocial needs of the elderly, community resources, and admission requirements § Lecture before groups relative to health-care services available § Participate in quality-assurance programs § Maintain professional confidentiality § Follow-up inquiries and maintain current and active waiting lists § Develop long-range and short-range marketing plans, establishing goals and objectives. § Prepare daily and weekly reports and monthly and annual summaries of admissions, discharges, sources, classifications, lengths of stay, etc. § Fulfill advertising needs of the facility.
