Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Registration Specialist to join our team. As a Registration Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient patient registration and scheduling processes. Your role is crucial in providing exceptional patient service and maintaining the integrity of our medical office operations.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and check-in patients, verifying their demographic and insurance information
• Collect and update patient medical records using electronic systems, such as Dentrix
• Schedule appointments for patients, ensuring proper coordination and communication
• Answer phone calls and address inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient information
• Process patient payments and provide necessary documentation
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
• Collaborate with the medical receptionist team to ensure smooth workflow and patient satisfaction

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus
• Previous experience in a medical office or similar administrative role preferred
• Proficient in using office software systems, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, such as Dentrix, is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
