Hourly Pay Rate (W2): $24.00 Weekly Pay Rate (W2): $960.00 OR For Local 1099

Candidates:

Hourly Pay Rate (1099): $26.00 Weekly Pay Rate (1099): $1,040.00

Job Overview :

As a Patient Access Representative , you will be the first point of contact for patients accessing care. You will be responsible for registration, insurance verification, payment processing, and ensuring patients have a smooth and informed experience. This is a key administrative support role in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Register patients and explain registration procedures
• Process and collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
• Assist patients with electronic Kiosk check-in when needed
• Conduct Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and update coverage
• Obtain and verify patient signatures on required documentation
• Counsel patients on financial responsibility for non-covered services and obtain waivers (ABNs)
• Monitor patient flow in the waiting area and ensure a positive experience
• Perform registration follow-ups for inpatient admissions missing information
• Address patient concerns and recognize potential patient safety risks
• Maintain a clean, organized, and confidential registration area

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a business setting providing customer service, while simultaneously processing and verifying electronic demographic, financial or other business-related information and data.
