The Coordinator will complete an intake interview with clients, initiate the admissions process, and ensure all necessary documentation is signed and completed. This person will also facilitate and oversee the orientation process for new clients. The Coordinator works closely with the clinical team and with our case managers to ensure a smooth and timely process of information gathering, decision-making, and scheduling of new clients.

Essential Duties:
  • Oversee and manage the admissions and discharge process for clients including completing and maintaining all intake/discharge documentation.
  • Schedule intake appointments, record and verify patients’ information and prepares medical records on new and returning clients.
  • Check-in clients, interview clients and their families.
  • Enter and organize information into electronic medical record.
  • Obtains and collects urine specimens for laboratory testing, as needed.
  • Executes office managerial duties, including administrative functions, and prepares and maintains reports and records.
Necessary Abilities:
  • Compassionate and empathetic towards clients and families entering treatment.
  • Knowledge of Client rights and treats all clients with dignity and respect in a consistent manner; adheres to federal confidentiality standards (HIPAA).
  • Knowledge of substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Operate a computer, fax/copy machine, and telephone
  • Comfort with software platforms, able to learn new software with quickness and teach the same processes to others
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records, admissions and discharge process, and communication with clients and families regarding substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Must be reliable and consistent with attendance and punctuality to work.
  • Interest in working in a team and in an “all hands on deck” start-up environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, observation and written skills. Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in admissions in a mental health or substance use disorder treatment or a closely related field.
  • 1+ years of experience working with families and adolescents.
  • Associate or Bachelors degree in human services, social work, psychology, mental health, addiction medicine or related field.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory background check.
