Job Description
Provide medical and surgical office front desk support to Surgicalpractice. Greet patients, collect co-pays, answer telephones, schedulepatient appointments and testing, ensure necessary referrals are inplace, verify and update patient demographics into electronic healthrecord. Escort patient to exam room for provider during clinic. Scheduleappointments, ancillary testing and surgery Request prior authorizationsfor medical procedures/diagnostic exams and surgery. Refer medicalquestions to appropriate sources (Physician, Manager, or Director.
Prepare end of day cash/copay reports. Submit billing to our billingvendor with appropriate supporting documentation. Respond to billingcompanies requests for documentation or clarification of charges.
Participate in special projects as identified by the Physician, Manageror Director Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalentProficiency with computers and medical terminology preferred
