Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Float Admissions Representative to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will support patient admissions across multiple departments and locations, ensuring accuracy in documentation and seamless coordination with clinical teams.

Job Description:

•This is a float position with variable hours, and while most shifts will be during the 1st shift, flexibility to work 2nd shift as needed is required. What You’ll Do Meet with patients or caregivers before and/or after admission to collect, review, and verify all required documentation and personal information. Provide clear and compassionate communication regarding the admissions process, addressing any questions or concerns. Collaborate with admitting providers, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure proper patient placement and information exchange. Verify insurance benefits, obtain prior authorizations, and ensure compliance with medical necessity requirements. Process co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance payments or refer patients to financial counselors when needed. Enter accurate demographic, billing, and clinical data into the registration system in a timely and professional manner. What You Bring 1+ year of experience in patient registration, scheduling, or a similar healthcare clerical role preferred. Prior customer service experience, ideally in a healthcare or fast-paced clerical setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly. Proven attention to detail, organizational skills, and adaptability in a float or flexible role. Willingness to work variable hours, with availability for both 1st and 2nd shifts (most shifts will be 1st). Proficiency in data entry; experience with insurance verification or EMR systems is a plus.
