Patient Services Specialist Schedule:

Monday-Friday (Onsite) Shift (Please read) : Monday

  • Friday:

    8:00 AM

  • 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM
  • 6:00

$18-20+/HR (Depending on Experience) About the

Role:

As a Patient Service Specialist , you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience from check-in to check-out. You will be responsible for greeting and registering patients, providing clear information about their visit, and assisting with scheduling future appointments both in person and over the phone.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction :

Greet patients, explain visit procedures, and provide follow-up appointment details.

Scheduling :

Manage appointment bookings and confirmations via phone and in-person.

Insurance & Billing :

Verify insurance eligibility, obtain necessary authorizations, collect co-pays, and counsel patients on their financial responsibilities.

Documentation & Compliance :

Prepare intake forms, maintain accurate records, and adhere to payment reconciliation protocols.

Communication & Coordination :

Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure seamless patient service.

Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service skills
  • 1+ year of steady employment within a healthcare customer service-based position (Hospital, Clinic, Call Center environment, etc.)
  • 2 + years of experience in healthcare and medical terminology knowledge
  • Proven ability to work with and navigate a computer desktop efficiently (Microsoft Office)
  • Proficient in the use of all necessary office equipment, faxes, copiers, etc.
  • Fluent typing skills and proficiency with Windows-based office technologies (ex.

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
