$18-20+/HR (Depending on Experience) About the
Role:
As a Patient Service Specialist , you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience from check-in to check-out. You will be responsible for greeting and registering patients, providing clear information about their visit, and assisting with scheduling future appointments both in person and over the phone.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction :
Greet patients, explain visit procedures, and provide follow-up appointment details.
Scheduling :
Manage appointment bookings and confirmations via phone and in-person.
Insurance & Billing :
Verify insurance eligibility, obtain necessary authorizations, collect co-pays, and counsel patients on their financial responsibilities.
Documentation & Compliance :
Prepare intake forms, maintain accurate records, and adhere to payment reconciliation protocols.
Communication & Coordination :
Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure seamless patient service.

Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills
- 1+ year of steady employment within a healthcare customer service-based position (Hospital, Clinic, Call Center environment, etc.)
- 2 + years of experience in healthcare and medical terminology knowledge
- Proven ability to work with and navigate a computer desktop efficiently (Microsoft Office)
- Proficient in the use of all necessary office equipment, faxes, copiers, etc.
- Fluent typing skills and proficiency with Windows-based office technologies (ex.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
