Must have 2+ years of experience in a front desk role in the medical field. This position may require sitting for extended periods of time & occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds of more. Interaction with others is constant & involves dealing with sick people.

JOB DUTIES

Check in patients for office appointments, ensuring demographic, PCP & insurance information accuracy. Scan in insurance cards, collect copays, prepare office charts. Print non-visit orders. Assist patients who walk into the clinic by scheduling appointments, answering questions or acting as a liaison between patient & clinic staff for medical issues. Answer phone calls, assist visitors with sign-in process, notify staff when visitors arrive. Process office visit & recall letters, outgoing mail & deliver incoming mail appropriately. Ensure office/lobby area is clean & ready for the day, open office, lock up office. Process no-show/cancelled appointment records. Assist other departments as needed, train new employees, cross train for other departments. Applicant must be able to multi-task and have a positive, pleasant attitude. Applicant must also be able to handle stressful situations with ease. Excellent benefit package is included.
