$33.7K – $38.7K a year 1 day ago Qualifications NextGen Entry level Full Job Description Responsible for answering incoming calls, scheduling patient appointments, verifying insurance benefits, as well as working at the front office as receptionists checking patients in and out, collecting co-payments and outstanding balances. In addition to these duties, the Patient Relations Specialist will also: Answer all incoming calls and process accordingly. Schedule office appointments. Accurately enter required patient demographics (race, language, ethnicity, social security number, email address, referring provider etc.) into NextGen EPM system. Verify insurance benefits, co-pay and deductibles for upcoming office visits. Ensures patient data received from the referring physician, as well as laboratory test, radiological test, other reports and correspondence are scan to the patient?s E H R account. Obtain signed ?Advanced Beneficiary Notice? (ABN) from the patient for all non-covered procedures. Check patient?s accounts for delinquent balances prior to office visit and collect accordingly. Enroll patients in our ?Patient Portal? and print token. Review and monitor daily office schedule. Greet all patients and visitors courteously and ensure they are properly screened and directed. Explain the necessary paperwork to the patients, have them fill out and signed scan all information in the EPM system at the time of office visit. Offer clinical summary to patients during checkout process and document accordingly for ?meaningful use?. Schedule any follow-up visit during the checkout process. Adhere to ?PQRS? protocol. Post all daily charges in the computer system. Balance cash, checks and credit cards. Perform strategic and tactical functions and will do whatever is required to model outstanding customer service toward out patients, clients and staff. Follow company Policies, OSHA, and HIPAA standards and guidelines Perform other duties as assigned by physicians and manager.
