Medical Records/Referrals – Kidzcare Pediatric Southern Pines KidzCare Pediatrics PC Southern Pines, NC 28387 Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, self-starting individual to join our clinic as a Referral Coordinator..As part of our team, you process insurance authorizations, answer phones, maintain and update health care records, and perform data entry. This position requires a highly organized professional with excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette. Our ideal candidate also has prior experience within a medical office and knowledge of medical terminology. Duties and Responsibilities Answer phones, confirm appointments and address patient questions Process insurance authorizations and update patient records Provide customer service to walk-in patients, directing them to the appropriate area or resource Verify eligibility benefits Data entry of medical records and patient information Requirements and Qualifications A high school diploma or GED certificate (preferred) At least two years of experience in a medical office or similar setting Accurate typing and data entry skills Superb customer service and communication skills Knowledge of HIPAA requirements regarding patient confidentiality
