Discusses payment responsibilities with patients in an empathetic and professional manner and determines criteria for financial assistance. Manages large numbers of incoming physician orders received via fax and via the internet. Work cooperatively with surgical and clinical departments, and must have knowledge of the processes, procedures and paperwork requirements necessary for each modality and procedure. Must retain knowledge of many procedures and keep abreast with all changes of insurance, admission, transfer and hospital procedures and rules. Maintains strictest confidentiality at all times in accordance with hospital policy.
