Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry & Record Management Accurately scan and input patient demographic details, insurance data, and other essential information Process, obtain, and transfer patient records efficiently Index, scan, and manage incoming faxes and mail related to medical records Scheduling & Referrals Schedule patient appointments according to provider protocols Facilitate specialist referrals and imaging orders by faxing required documentation Schedule follow-up appointments at patient check-out to ensure continuity of care Medical Records Support Respond professionally to patient record requests in compliance with privacy regulations Collaborate with patients, staff, and management to resolve record-related issues Assist in optimizing systems for accurate patient registration and efficient medical record handling Compliance & Confidentiality Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, legal, and financial information Ensure all duties comply with HIPAA and internal company policies Team Support & Flexibility Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Practice Manager Contribute to a positive, cooperative, and team-oriented work environment
