Intake Coordinator Hidden Gems ABA 600 East Crescent Avenue, Upper Saddle River, NJ 07458 At Hidden Gems ABA we are dedicated to providing high-quality, client-centered ABA therapy to children and families. Our team is passionate about making a meaningful difference, and we are looking for an organized, compassionate, and detail-oriented Intake Specialist to join our growing team.
Position Summary:
The Intake Specialist plays a critical role in the client onboarding process. This position is responsible for managing new client inquiries, verifying insurance benefits, coordinating intake paperwork, and supporting families through the first steps of their ABA journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients and families Collect and review intake forms and documentation Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations Coordinate communication between families, clinical staff, and administrative teams Guide families through the onboarding process with empathy and professionalism Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the company’s systems Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth and timely intake process
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting preferred Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorizations strongly preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Bilingual (Spanish-English) Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Proficiency with Excel, Word and basic office software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
