Hourly Pay Transparency:
The above reflects the anticipated hourly range for this position if hired to work. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
The Patient Access Representative will accurately and promptly collect all pertinent information at the initial point of registration to ensure the proper billing process occurs, which will enhance timely cash flow and reduce the days in accounts receivable. Interviews all patients in an attempt to obtain demographic and financial information.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required within one (1) year of hire. Candidates who do not possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent will be provided the opportunity to enroll in a
GED/HSEA
program at time of hire as a condition of employment. A hired candidate will be provided one (1) year from date of hire to successfully complete a GED program and obtain the HSEA.
Preferred:
Knowledge of medical terminology/medical insurance is preferred. Two years in registration.
EPIC EMR
experience preferred.
Scheduling Requirements:
Per Diem Day, 2 weekend shifts per month, the shift would be based on employee availability and department need Hybrid – between Oceanport, NJ and remote
Essential Functions:
The Patient Access Representative is responsible to greet all patients in a timely and friendly manner. Clearly review and communicate all forms and obtain the required signatures for the services provided. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors, etc. The Patient Access Representative ensures accuracy and thoroughness in collecting and documentation of the patient’s demographic and insurance information, and utilizes the technology available to complete the registration.
