Full Job Description Job Summary:

The Intake Coordinator is responsible for processing referrals received from marketing sources. The Specialists contact each patient to educate them on the services we can provide and assist them with their homecare needs for skilled and non-skilled services. In this important position Intake Specialists accept the great responsibility of following a patient from the date of discharge through enrollment for long term care, keeping the patient and family members always informed to ensure all patients have caring and professional experience with Royal Care. Some of the key responsibilities include: Obtaining new authorizations reflecting start of care of services. Provide exceptional customer service to our clients during the process of inquiring home care services. Conference calls with clients and vendors for home care inquiries. Understanding what documents are required for different types of insurance plans and services. Understanding and promoting company programs. Accurate data entry into Salesforce (CRM software). Efficient flow process utilizing Task Management in Salesforce for on-time follow ups. Grow and maintain excellent relationships with Business Development Representatives, referral sources and vendor contracts to ensure proper services are being provided on timely manner. High volume of phone and email communication with patients, referral sources and vendor contracts regarding patient care. •Responsibilities may include additional tasks according to the needs of the department and the organization•

Qualifications:

Proficiency in computer utilization for a variety of tasks. Bilingual in English and Spanish Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, MCO, MLTC and other insurance related processes. Comprehensive understanding of regulations governing the home care industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Team oriented. Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year experience within the health care services industry preferred. At least one year Intake Coordinator experience preferred.
