The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the initial assessment and documentation of patient information within our healthcare facility. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. The Intake Specialist will ensure that all necessary documentation is reviewed and processed accurately, contributing to the overall efficiency of our services. Duties Conduct thorough documentation reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records. Collect medical information from patients, including history and current health status. Utilize Meditech systems for data entry and management of patient information. Apply coding , to accurately categorize patient diagnoses. Collaborate with clinics to gather necessary documentation for patient intake. Assist in the development and management of care plans for patients as needed. Provide support to enhance communication with diverse patient populations. Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations during the intake process. Qualifications Proven experience in documentation review and medical collection processes. Familiarity with Meditech systems is preferred. Knowledge of ICD-9 coding and its application in patient records is essential. Experience working in a dental clinic setting is a plus. Understanding of Medicare policies and procedures is advantageous. proficiency is highly desirable to facilitate effective communication with patients. Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively within a team environment.
