Job Description:

As a Treatment Coordinator at Lumia Dental, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

Expertly presenting comprehensive treatment plans with accuracy and clarity, ensuring patient understanding and buy-in. Efficiently filling provider schedules by leveraging patient lists and optimizing appointment bookings. Proficiently handling insurance verification and claims processing, ensuring smooth and timely reimbursement processes. Overseeing the financial aspects of the office, including accounts receivable/collections tracking and improvement, as well as the management of insurance claims and patient accounts. Demonstrating initiative and proactivity in explaining dental terminology and conveying the importance of oral hygiene and treatment to patients. Reading insurance policies and determining estimated total coverage for patients. Following up on treatment plans and assisting the receptionist in filling the hygienist schedule. Building relationships with patients by displaying empathy and earning their trust. Personalized patient follow-up and selling cases. Assisting receptionist with phone calls and text messages (SMS). Multitasking effectively and handling upset patients with professionalism. Collecting any past due balances and managing financial transactions with accuracy and discretion.

Requirements:

Prior experience in a similar role within the dental industry is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues alike. Proficiency in dental software and familiarity with insurance billing procedures. (Denticon is a plus!) Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Comprehensive understanding of dental terminology and the ability to effectively convey the importance of oral hygiene and treatment to patients. A compassionate approach to patient care, with the ability to earn their trust and build strong relationships. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of responsibilities.
