Connecting. Growing together. The Patient Access RepresentativeAssociate is responsible for greeting and welcoming patients inperson. Provides a standard registration process by collectingdemographic and financial data and enter information into anelectronic medical record.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Greets and welcomes patient inperson
- Collects demographic and insurance information
- Checks inand interviews patient to complete appropriate paperwork
- Directspatient to their appointment or procedure
- May assist inscheduling add-on appointments
- Documents any issues andresolutions in electronic medical record
- Resolve claim issues orregistration errors on patient accounts
- Uses resources, tools andprocedure to complete registration for accounts and in assignedwork queues
- Verifies insurance eligibility and benefitsinformation for payers and interprets results focusing on complexbilling situations
- Obtains cost information and explainsinformation to patient if necessary
- Collects co-pay ordeductibles and respond to questions regarding financial assistanceprograms available. Refers complex questions as needed
- Screeningand approving patients for financial assistance programs
- Assistsand counsel’s patient with application process for availablefinancial assistance programs
- Provides technical or functionaldirection for employees
- Assists patient in completion of requestfor information forms and submits to appropriate department
- Obtains signatures from patients as needed
- May gather medicalrecord information from all departments for collection
- Providecustomer service for inbound and outbound telephone calls
- Maymentor other staff as needed

Required Qualifications:
- 6 months ofcustomer service experience in an office/hospital setting
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work the following rotating schedule in 8-hour shifts,starting at 6:00am and 7:00am
- Week 1: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday & Friday
- Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday &Saturday
- Ability to work standard daytime hours, Monday-Fridayfor the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the trainingschedule
- Must be 18 years of age or older
PreferredQualifications:
- Revenue Cycle experience
- General officeexperience
- Epic experience
Physical Demands:
- Consistentwalking, standing, bending, turning, etc.
- Lifting weight Up to 10lbs.
