Patient Account Representative –
Medical Insurance Location:
Langhorne, PA (onsite)
Pay:
$17-$20/hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Full-Time We are seeking a detail-oriented andcompassionate Patient Account Representative onsite in Langhorne,PA . The ideal candidate will have experience working with self-paypatients in a medical setting, a strong understanding of insuranceprocedures, and excellent customer service skills.
KeyResponsibilities:
Communicate with various insurance companies andplans to verify benefits and obtain required documentation.
Pre-certify services and prepare accurate work orders. Workdirectly with patients to set up self-pay options and discussoutstanding balances. Call on accounts with balances due and followup on payment arrangements. Provide clear, empathetic customerservice and educate patients on payment options and insurancecoverage. Maintain professional conduct and ensure the smooth flowof service within the department. Accurately document interactionsand maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Completeother duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma orequivalent required. Experience working with self-pay accounts in amedical setting preferred. Strong knowledge of insurance plans,verification processes, and medical billing procedures. Proficientin Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to workindependently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Excellentcommunication, judgment, and organizational skills. Knowledge ofanatomy or medical coding is a plus. Must be professional,detail-oriented, and capable of handling sensitive information withdiscretion.
